Upgrading

After the configuration has been backed up we are ready to run the installer. You can download the latest installer by logging in to the customer area at http://www.netikus.net.

If you are currently using EventSentry in combination with Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Server, then you will have to select the appropriate option under the Web Reports feature. If you do not select the respective database option during the upgrade then you will have to run the Database Setup Wizard later. Failure to upgrade the database will prevent the updated agents from communicating with the database.

You do not have to select the Setup IIS option during the web reports are already setup correctly, however it does not hurt to select this option.

This custom setup will install:

• Management Application (GUI)


• Service Agent


• Heartbeat Agent


• Widgets (Dashboard)


•
