In EventSentry there is a utility file included just for WakeOnLan. It is meant to be a simple way to turn on remote computers. This file can be accessed by navigating to the following URL on default installations:
http://localhost/EventSentry/eventsentry_wake.asp
In the event that there are multiple Mac Address for the computer, the page will prompt for when network card to use.
Built-in Authenication This page is one of the few that accept Basic Authentication. This can be useful in cases where a script is setup to automatically load this page with the Mac Address parameter.
Mobile Devices It is possible to configure your cellphone to power on your workstation before you arrive at work. This typically works best with a smartphone with internet access and a VPN connection. Replace the localhost below with the machine hosting EventSentry web reports and replace the mac address parameter or add a computer name. After the link correctly displays that it sent the request successfully, save the URL as a bookmark and launch it when you would like to wake up your computer.
