When trying to install an EventSentry agent on a remote machine you get the following error:Error 7056: The system license has expired. Your logon request is denied

This error appears when the EventSentry license information, which is stored in the registry, has not been transferred correctly to the remote host.

Please perform the following steps to re-transfer the configuration:

  1. Make sure that you have the latest build of EventSentry installed, you can check the latest build from the additional links below
  2. If you already have the latest build, close the EventSentry management console and re-open it
  3. Right-click the "Computers" container of the group where the computer is located and select "Push Configuration".
  4. Right-click the "Computers" container of the group where the computer is located again and select "Manage Agent(s) -> Start"

The license should now have been transferred correctly and the agent should be running.
