How do I customize NTP (network time protocol) monitoring alerts?

  1. Open the management console
  2. Navigate to Packages -> System Health
  3. In the ribbon, click on the arrow below "Filter" and select "Network Time Sync"
  4. Locate the appropriate package, expand it and click on "Network Time Sync (NTP)"
  5. Adjust the interval, tolerance, event severity and/or NTP server list
  6. Save the configuration

To add NTP monitoring perform these steps:

  1. Open the management console
  2. Navigate to Packages -> System Health
  3. In the ribbon, click on "Add" and name the package "Network Time Sync"
  4. Locate the package, in the ribbon, click the arrow below "Add" and click on "Network Time Sync (NTP)"
  5. Locate the appropriate package, expand it and click on "Network Time Sync (NTP)"
  6. Adjust the interval, tolerance, event severity and/or NTP server list
  7. Locate the package, right-click and select "Assign" or click "Global to assign to all hosts
  8. Save the configuration

To disable NTP monitoring perform these steps:

  1. Open the management console
  2. Navigate to Packages -> System Health
  3. In the ribbon, click on the arrow below "Filter" and select "Network Time Sync"
  4. Locate the appropriate package and select it
  5. Select "Properties" in the ribbon
  6. Clear the Enable package check box
  7. Save or Save & Deploy the configuration

You can also exclude alerts for one or more hosts / groups by creating an exclusion filter instead.
