Starting with version 3.2 of EventSentry, the network services component (service) is available as both a 32-bit and 64-bit executable. New installations will automatically install the 64-bit binary (on 64-bit operating systems), but existing 32-bit services will not automatically upgraded at this time.
If you wish to update an existing 32-bit "Network Services" service to 64-bit, follow the steps below:
- Open the management console
- Navigate to Network Services
- Stop the service
- Uninstall the service
- Install service, point to Browse dialog to the EventSentry Installation directory
- Copy the %SYSTEMROOT%\Syswow64\eventsentry\temp\es_networkservices_arp_mac.tmp to %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\eventsentry\temp
- Copy the %SYSTEMROOT%\Syswow64\eventsentry\temp\es_networkservices_arp_status.tmp to %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\eventsentry\temp
- Copy %SYSTEMROOT%\Syswow64\eventsentry\mac_vendor.txt to %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\eventsentry
- Start the service
- Navigate to %SYSTEMROOT%\Syswow64\eventsentry in Windows Explorer
- temp\es_networkservices_arp_mac.tmp
- temp\es_networkservices_arp_status.tmp
- Delete the logs folder
- Delete es_network_svc.exe
- Delete mac_vendor.txt
- Delete msvcp120.dll
- Delete msvcr120.dll
- Delete QtCore4.dll
- Delete QtXml4.dll
- Delete vccorlib120.dll
