Widgets

Top  Previous  Next

The EventSentry widgets allow you to view computer health information, network health information and event log reports through widgets that can be installed and placed on your desktop. The EventSentry widgets require the Yahoo Widgets, which - at the time of writing - run on Windows XP SP2, 2000 SP4, Windows Vista and Mac OSX 10.3.9 and up.

The widgets are launched by simply double-clicking the widget files, which are located in the Widgets sub folder of the installation directory. All widgets have the .widget file extension.

All widgets require the web reports, as they pull data directly from various pages that part of the web reports.

Overview

EventSentry currently supports three different type of widgets:

1.Dashboard Widget
2.Network Status Widget
3.Report Viewer Widget

All of the widgets can be configured individually by right-clicking them and selecting "Widget Preferences", and refresh automatically.

The installation folder contains 4 types of every widget, allowing you to run the same widget (with different settings) up to four times on the same computer in parallel. For example, if you would like to run the Dashboard Widget twice - with different computers in each widget - then you would click EventSentry Dashboard 1.widget as well as EventSentry Dashboard 2.widget.

1. Dashboard Widget

The dashboard widget shows several key system health components for each host that is configured in the widget:
