The network status page can be customized in many ways, including the following:

 

Refresh interval
Hide computers
Customize performance counters
Customize analyzed disks
Appearance

 

Customizing Performance Counters and Disks

Performance Counters: By default, the network status page displays the current CPU usage, available memory and average disk queue length. You can customize these default performance counters, making it possible to display any performance counter in the network status page.

 

Please note that a performance counter needs to first be collected and collected in the database through a Performance Monitoring object in a system health package.

 

Physical Disks: By default, the network status page shows the disk space from all monitor physical disks, combined. This can be customized, to instead only evaluate the disk space of a selected drive.

 

To customize the performance counters or disks, click on the "Configure" link on the bottom left of the network status page.

Automatic Refresh

By default each individual values will be checked every 60 seconds. If any of the values have changed they will be updated and indicated with a transitional effect. There are a few options in the Profile Editor that let you control which method is used to indicate the change and how often the values are checked.

 

Hide Menu

This option allows you to disable the menu on the Network Status page. The menu can limit the page to computers that are considered Non-OK or allow sorting on the available columns.

 

Load By Default

When this option is on, the results will be loaded when the page is loaded. When using the Network Status on large networks it is generally a good idea to have this option set to Off.

 

Hidden Computers

Previously hidden computers can be added back into the Network Status list by removing them from the Hidden Computers field.

 

 

Unwanted Machines

If computers are listed on the Network Status page that you are not interested in or you have a very large network, there is an option to hide them. By clicking the "Hide Computer's" option you expand additional menu choices. Click the Hide checkbox next to the machine you would like to remove and the computer will be filtered out.
