The Network Availability page will show you the uptime of hosts, using the ping events from the heartbeat history page as data. The uptime page will show the following information:
• | How long has a host been up |
• | How long has a host been down |
• | How long has a host been monitored |
• | Percentage of availability |
You can sort the output of the uptime statistics by availability, group, computer and location. Furthermore you can filter the results by group, location and date.

Since the uptime page uses the PING history as data, it is imperative that you are monitoring a host through ping in order to use the uptime page. Furthermore it is necessary that the heartbeat history of each host starts with a status change from a status other than OK to a status of OK (example from "NEWLY ADDED HOST" to "OK").
EventSentry does this automatically starting with version 2.60, as such you will need to upgrade to version 2.60 (or higher) in order to get reliable information through the uptime calculation page.
